THE HUB
FOOD AND CLOTHING PANTRY
A Hand Up for Students in Need
At Albany Technical College, we recognize that students facing food insecurity or lacking essential clothing items may find it even harder to focus on their education. The Hub is here to help alleviate some of these challenges by providing approved access to food and clothing resources after an initial inquiry and evaluation. Through The Hub, we aim to ensure that students facing genuine hardships have the support they need to stay in school and succeed.
About The Hub
The Hub is supported in part by the Embark Grant, a capacity-building initiative that enhances services for students who have experienced housing insecurity or foster care. With funding from the Joseph B. Whitehead Foundation, administered by the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, Albany Technical College is expanding resources and support services to help students facing life challenges. This initiative is not a free resource but an approved support service for students who qualify after an initial evaluation. Each request is reviewed to determine eligibility and available resources.
Who Can Apply for Assistance?
Students experiencing food insecurity, difficulty affording clothing, or other personal hardships can submit an inquiry for support. After an initial review and evaluation, students who qualify will receive approved access to The Hub's resources. We understand that everyone’s situation is unique, and we evaluate requests on a case-by-case basis to ensure resources are distributed fairly.
