Project Management Institute

How many people will this take? How long before it is finished? How much will this cost?” These are all valid questions that should be asked before any project, regardless of size, is undertaken. Unfortunately, many times the estimates that are provided are at best “guesstimates” and organizations are faced with not enough resources, missed deadlines, and cost overruns.

Project Management is a much needed skill in today’s business environment. The program will consist of a blended format utilizing online components as well as in class lab experiences. The in-class portion will comprise 36 hours of instruction. The major subject areas that will be considered will be Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing the project. This conforms to the educational requirements of the Project Management Institute for sitting for the PMP certification exam.
