Engineering Graphics Technology is a program of study at Albany Technical College that focuses on the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify technical drawings and plans. The program typically includes coursework in areas such as drafting principles and techniques, two-dimensional and three-dimensional CAD, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). Students may also learn about the use of industry-specific software and tools, as well as engineering principles and design concepts. Upon completion of the program, graduates should have the skills and knowledge needed to work as drafters or design technicians in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, and engineering.
