Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Dougherty County Solid Waste Department has a vacancy for a Weighmaster. Essential Tasks Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: weighing refuse vehicles using a computerized scale and related equipment to determine charges and generate transaction tickets for waste disposal; collecting fees from customers and reconciling moneys collected; entering necessary data into computer; determining if vehicles can enter landfill area; screening incoming vehicles; providing instructions, regulations and disposal information to the public; maintaining records; printing reports; and answering phones.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and six (6) months of administrative experience; or any related equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skill and ability to do the work of the position.
