Job Description & Responsibilities:

SUMMARY: Responsible for data entry and Information Systems management of the HR and Learning and Development departments. Is responsible for bridging educational needs with exceptional performance for all staff and utilizing the e-learning technology with workforce development activities for the hospital, students, and community outreach programs; interfacing effectively with all departments to develop and implement workforce technology and coordinating and facilitating the use of technology for training of current and future employees; to promote and maintain competency as well as high standards in staff professional growth and quality patient care; provides customer service to patients, families, visitors, physicians, coworkers, and other medical/non-medical personnel. Maintains and updates all databases, as wells as produces reports as needed, assists with coordinating and implementing new employee computer orientation classes, develops and instructs computer based courses as needed, and performs various administrative duties under minimal supervision RESPONSIBILITIES: * Utilizes e-learning system in order to enter learning assignments, gather, interpret, and track information. * Build new contract and agency members in the Learning Management System * Coordinate and schedule classes within the system into the Learning Management System (LMS). * Creating specific competencies and skills within the LMS without errors. * Tracking and follow up with preceptor packets during and after orientation * Assign proper education to all team members, agency, contracts and transfers * Use data to develop administrative and statistical reports * Troubleshooting Learning Management System issues and password resets * Inputs, deletes, and maintains information for all department databases including data entry * Assists in coordinating in-service offered by the Learning and Development Department * Conducting and assisting in various classes. * Assists with coordinating and implementing new employee computer orientation classes, develops and instructs computer based courses as needed * Responsible for data management and clerical duties of the and HR and Learning and Development Departments * Performs other related duties as assigned. * Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs. * Keeps abreast of pertinent federal, and state regulations and laws and Tift Regional Health System, Inc. (“TRHS”) policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. * Understands and adheres to: TRHS’ compliance standards as they appear in TRHS’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy; and HIPAA and TRHS policies regarding privacy and security of protected health information. * Demonstrates the ability to perform tasks that meet the age-specific requirements of the persons, patients, vendors, and staff that the employee is charged to interact with as required by the position. * Offers suggestions on ways to improve operations of department and reduce costs. * Attends all mandatory education programs. * Improves self-knowledge through voluntarily attending continuing education/certification classes. * Maintains required competency levels as identified in written exams, skills checklists, skills labs, annual safety and health requirements as well as service excellence education hours requirements. * Cross-trains in order to better assist co-workers and to provide maximum efficiency in the department. * Volunteers/participates on hospital committees, functions, and department projects. * Reports equipment in need of repair in order to extend life of equipment and removes malfunctioning equipment out of service with timely reporting to the appropriate personnel. * Makes good use of time so as to not create needless overtime. * Attends 80% of staff meetings and huddles to provide ongoing education and assist in issue resolution. * Manages resources effectively.

Qualifications

At least 3 years data/computer experience required. Associates Degree in data management or computer skills preferred.
