Job Description & Responsibilities:

The purpose of this classification is to perform clerical and customer service work functions associated with receiving and processing utility payments. Duties Performs customer service functions; provides assistance and information related to utility services, accounts, bills, procedures, forms, problems or other issues; responds to routine questions, complaints or requests for service; researches account discrepancies and problems; initiates problem resolution. Receives/processes utility payments by mail, drive-through window, night deposit, or in person. Counts/balances cash receipts; records balances; prepares bank deposits and forwards as appropriate. Maintains adequate supply of currency and coins to dispense change to customers; initiates requests for change from bank. Posts payments to proper account on computer.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; supplemented by Vocational/Technical training in banking, bookkeeping, accounting or general office administration; supplemented by one (1) year related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Salary:

30,087.20 per year
