Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Dougherty County Tax & Tag Department has a vacancy for a Tag and Title Technician. Essential Tasks: Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: collecting motor vehicle taxes, fees, process motor vehicle titles, registrations and renewals in accordance with state laws regarding vehicle registration.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent with six (6) months of customer service, clerical or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must have experience in managing a cash drawer. Must have the ability to deal with the public under pressure during peak periods and must have math, typing and keyboarding skills; should be able to problem solve and work independently. APPLICANTS MUST PASS A 35 WPM TYPING TEST. TEST WILL BE ADMINISTERED DURING INTERVIEW PROCESS. PLEASE PROVIDE COPIES OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT, DRIVER’S LICENSE, DEGREE(S) AND/OR CERTIFICATE(S).
