Job Description & Responsibilities:

Provides positive customer experience for individuals interested in applying for VR services. Reviews case file information to determine if services are available for students using excel spreadsheets. Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Interviews individuals with disabilities to obtain information and provides referral and application services. Uploads and documents support documentation and crucial client information. Prepares and sends correspondence according to vocational rehabilitation policies and procedures. Comply with the policies of the VR program in regards to case file requirements and established timelines for individuals. Enters accurate participant data in the client information system and captures reporting data to support an open case. Maintains communication with clients, providers, and team members. Observes rules of confidentiality as stated by departmental guidelines in the dissemination and interpretation of test results and other case file information.
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in a social services-related position; or One (1) year of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Tech 2 (SST011) or equivalent position. Preferred Education and Experience: Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the required education and experience, possess one or more of the following: Associate degree in a Social Service or related field; or certificate in administrative or social service or a related field 12 months experience working with people with disabilities 12 months experience working in a customer service field Certified Notary in the State of Georgia in good standing
