Job Description & Responsibilities:

As a Safety Coordinator, you will be located at one of our consumer goods client facilities on a daily basis, and work with their on-site EHS and Management team to provide health and safety services, solutions, programs, best practices, and technical guidance. You will be responsible for leading and supporting a comprehensive safety, industrial hygiene, and fire protection environment at the Albany Brewery. We desire an experienced candidate with demonstrated skillsets in areas such as: technical practices and programs used in the reduction of workplace hazards, and knowledge of worker safety regulations as they relate to manufacturing and procedures used to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control physical, chemical, biological and ergonomic hazards. In addition, strong organizational skills, as well as exemplary written and verbal communication skills are a must. Typical job assignments may include but are not limited to: Developing and implementation of health and safety programs, policies and procedures Supporting incident investigations Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local government safety codes and regulations Partnering with corporate health and safety in the implementation of identified critical health and safety initiatives Maintaining procedures to ensure that only safe tools, equipment and supplies are purchased for brewery use Supporting health and safety management programs and elements Supporting Safety Manager in educating brewery on safety culture process and with all safety regulatory compliance requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, or related field. 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing leading and improving safety and health performance and regulatory compliance ASP, CSP, or CIH is a plus. Must have a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and their applicability. Further understanding of NFPA, DOT, EPA is a plus. Able to work independently with an attention to detail and manage multiple assignments and projects. Must have a strong desire to talk with, influence, lead a team, and directly interface with clients and stakeholders. Additionally, must be able to take direction and coaching from both clients and team members. Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future. Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety-sensitive roles). They must also have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Salary:

$55.00-$65.00
