Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Quality Assurance Technician works under the direction of the Quality Assurance Director. He/she reviews daily/monthly documentation submitted by staff and ensures documentation meets DBHDD and Medicaid standards for billing and accuracy. He/she must maintain compliance with all state and federal policies and procedures. He/she must be proficient in Therap. Non-Exempt Position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reviews monthly documentation, paper and electronic, for Medicaid and DBHDD compliance. Ensures documentation is present for all days of service Follows up on corrections, maintains and submits correction list report and ongoing issues, and provides Lead Quality Assurance Technician with the correction list weekly. Acts as a positive role model and communicates effectively. Effectively works as a team member. Completes tasks accurately and on time. Obtains and maintains all mandatory required training requirements with DBHDD and Albany ARC annually. Completes reports as required. Scans all necessary documentation and uploads to individual’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). Interacts and communicates effectively. Researches and learns needed skills or project-relevant information quickly. Maintains a high level of productivity and responsiveness. Focuses and analyzes information accurately. Is motivated and a self-starter. Other duties as assigned. The Arc of SWGA has several training courses that are required; all of the courses must be completed annually: Drug Free Workplace CPI CPR/1st Aid Defensive Driving Active Shooter The Arc of SWGA Orientation-Policies/Documentation I /Documentation II Person-Centered Awareness Additional specialized courses may be assigned

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must be able to read, write, comprehend English and communicate clearly and effectively. Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal directions. Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening and DMV check. Must be able to show competency in all trainings listed above. Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be 21 years old. Must have and maintain a current phone number. OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: He/she must have a working knowledge of The Arc of SWGA Mission and Vision as well as the agency’s programs and services. He/she must have a knowledge and understanding of the agency’s accreditation process and its value to the organization.
