Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Dougherty County School System is seeking a Procurement Specialist to work in the Logistical Services Department. This individual will access requisitions, manage contracts, and solicit quotations to ensure the district receives the best value. This individual will also be responsible for placing inventory orders, tracking orders and resolving non-conformance issues and price disputes.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in Business Administration or related field; Two years or more of purchasing experience preferred; Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, Word and Google Drive; Mature individual with initiative, good telephone etiquette and communication skills; Knowledge of purchasing methods and of the techniques of specification writing; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
