Job Description & Responsibilities:

Position Purpose: Perform clerical duties involving electronic funds transfers (ETF) and automated clearing house (ACH) functions in a timely, accurate manner that provides members with quality service. Reconcile accounts in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities · Process and balance daily postings of direct deposits and allotments along with credit/debit payment batches. · Verify the accuracy of postings and resolve any discrepancies. · Record and balance all unprocessed items. · Issue and process stop payments. · Return all Government Reclamations to include SSA, SSI, etc · Process and correct all EFT transactions transmitted daily from the Federal Reserve. · Work with all ACH contacts to coordinate payroll deductions, new member information, corrections, updates, etc. · Assist in solving member issues or questions on EFT/ACH. · Review IRA RMD postings, complete FMV, and balance IRA year end taxes. · Complete online requests from members through SSA · Send and process incoming and outgoing bank to bank wire transfers along with pulling OFAC and other tasks to comply with BSA regulations. · Processing ACH authorization originations. · Utilize all credit union procedures and computer tools to create and generate reports and correspondence. · Posting the daily electronic transaction files between members, business, and employers. · Assist with opening and closing the branch offices when needed. · Process any certified mail that is returned to the credit union’s processing department. · Processing any Overdraft privileges and ACH/Draft returns. · Balancing all general ledgers related to the processing department. Balance corporate bank statement and/or credit union checks. Make sure the ACH audit is completed annually by auditors. Assist in the member solutions, collections, and BSA departments when needed. Demonstrates an unsurpassed commitment to exceptional member service and teamwork. Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products, services, and policies and can confidently offer appropriate solutions to fit member needs. Respond to emails or other electronic requests submitted by members within 24 hours. Support and promote the Credit Union's Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Any other duties assigned by the Director of Compliance and Backoffice Operations.

Ability to resolve issues, work independently, and meet deadlines. Persuasive and team-oriented. Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels. College degree, or equivalent banking experience. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to instruct others, train personnel. Good organizational and time management skills. DECISION MAKING: Requires continuous exercise of judgment following broad guidelines. Identifies and selects complex choices of action where standard practices may not exist. Must be able to accommodate detailed work, problem solving, reasoning, math, presentations, verbal communication, written communication, analytical reasoning, training others, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions.
