Job Description & Responsibilities:
Performs specimen collection on adult and pediatric patients including venous, capillary, and blood culture samples. Order laboratory test in the laboratory information system, processes, files requisitions, answering telephone, general clerical duties and customer service. Follows all hospital and laboratory policies and procedures.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED (Required) EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 6+ months of phlebotomy experience (Required) CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES Required Certifications/Licensures: Not Applicable GENERAL SKILLS Organizational Skills Communication Skills Interpersonal Skills Customer Relations Grammar / Spelling Read / Comprehend Written Instructions Follow Verbal Instructions Basic Computer Skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Have near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors Have good - manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination Ability to perform - repetitive tasks/motion
