Job Description & Responsibilities:
Operate a 10/c Flexographic Printing Press. Assist in machine set-up for orders if needed, trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard ensures quality production and maximum efficiencies, recommends improvements in production methods, and participates in team activities. When your actions lead to success. Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the order. Sets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedure. Operates machine to standard production target and waste target. Trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard. Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance. Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System. Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member. Ensures work area is kept clean according to AIB standards Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met Provides direction to production operator and crew members. Drives continuous improvement activities. Performs inspections per Quality Procedure Cleans machine and area according to schedule. Completes all required tracking forms (Job Plan, Shift Run Report, Quality Sheet, and checklists). Ensures materials are available for next order & next shift. Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines; Follows established safety guidelines; holds self and others accountable Initiates and supports improvement initiatives. Handles, prepares, and transport hazardous waste to 90 day storage area. Other duties as instructed by Supervisor. Meets production targets (% performance to production plan). Meets quality targets (number of complaints). Meets waste targets (waste %).
Qualifications
Basic machine functions Reading, writing, and arithmetic. Ability to measure with measuring tape. Sound Mechanical aptitude. Previous experience operating a flexographic printing press preferred.
