Job Description & Responsibilities:
Description The Dougherty County Police Department is hiring on a continuous basis for Part-Time Patrol Officer. Essential Tasks Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: patrol, crime prevention, traffic enforcement, investigating criminal/civil complaints, responding to residential and business alarms and other areas of assignment.
Qualifications
For this law enforcement position applicants must be: At least 21 years of age; United States citizen; High School graduate or equivalent (additional post high school coursework preferred); Certified or eligible to become certified under the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Act within six months of employment; Able to clear background investigation; In proportion for height/weight standards; and Able to pass a job valid physical endurance test.
