Job Description & Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY OR X-ray Technologist is responsible to perform high quality radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as well perform radiographic exams in the Operating Room environment as well in general x-ray department, under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. The technologist provides direct patient care to all ages of patients. The technologist is provide very good customer service; that is to treat every patient with respect, courtesy, and explain the exam to the patient. The technologist must be able to work together with others providing a positive work environment. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs) Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills. Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate. Have a working knowledge of how procedures are perform in an operating room environment, maintaining a sterile field.
Qualifications
Vocational / Technical Degree in Radiologic Technology (Required) EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 0 - 1 year as a x-ray technologist in a hospital environment with some experience in a operating room environment (Required) CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES Required Certifications/Licensures: Certified Radiography (R)(ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS)
