Job Description & Responsibilities:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education Level: High School Diploma or GED preferred Certification/License Required: Valid Georgia Driver’s License Experience: Minimum 1 year in trade Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities; ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials; walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, negotiating stairs and ladders, ability to lift and transport 75 pounds Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; ability to correctly and safely operate all tools, test equipment, County vehicles and equipment; ability to initiate and complete work orders. REPORTS TO: Maintenance Director
Qualifications
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. Maintain school buildings and grounds in top condition to ensure full and productive use of district facilities. Assist in promoting the safety, health, and comfort of students and employees in school buildings and grounds. Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects. Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation in connection with: a. electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. b. exterior and interior of buildings. c. school grounds. Move equipment and materials within and between school buildings. Complete paperwork for preventive maintenance records, inspection reports, repair orders, and labor sheets. Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community. Work overtime when emergencies arise in order to prevent disruption of the schools. Observe district policies at all times. Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques. Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
