Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing all operations related to the inventory control, wrap room, and returns departments in daily shift operations. He/She will be in constant communication with the Inbound Operations Manager, Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, hourly Associates, and various other employees/departments. The Inventory Control Manager should have strong knowledge in inventory operations such as POs, CS/999 breakdowns, check-in processes, item labeling, put away processes, replenishment, monitoring metrics, cycle counting (hard and soft), inventory adjustments, warehouse putbacks, order expediting, overflow capacities, serialized equipment cycling, Inventory Control Actions Que, and all IDS functions pertaining to inventory. He/She should also have functional knowledge of the various other departments within the warehouse. The Inventory Control Manager should be able to answer any questions brought to their attention by the Associates while making the appropriate administrative decisions. Above all, the Inventory Control Manager should be an employee of excellent standing. He/She will hold themselves to the highest standards in which the WebstaurantStore and Clark Associates require. The Inventory Control Manager will enforce all company policies and standards to ensure fair and proper treatment of all employees/situations. The Inventory Control Manager job duties include, but are not limited to: Establish, train, and manage all procedures in Inventory Control, Expediting, Wrap, and Returns. Ensure quality of receiving, stocking, and shipping processes through analysis and development of strategies for dealing with trends and training inventory personnel on issue resolution and communication. Communicate training opportunities and strategies to correct or minimize inventory issues to appropriate manager. Develop and maintain positions, projects, and reports to sustain and increase efficiency of warehouse operations. Control and communication of email traffic and chain of custody documents to ensure operational accuracy and that issues are resolved promptly. Decrease company losses through accountability of product. Consult and communicate with all facets of the operation to increase productivity and accuracy. Drive productivity of inventory department by identifying and solving problems and training personnel in day-to-day issues. Motivate employees to attain the highest degree of excellence possible. Effectively lead and professionally develop the Inventory Control department leadership team including Assistant Managers and Team Leaders. Establish and maintain goals and metrics for inventory control processes as well as employee accountability. Maintenance and monitoring of information systems to ensure quality and service throughout the operation. Maintain inventory quality to keep total absolute inventory adjustments below 1% of overall inventory value. Maintain and plan for overstock capacity and primary bin requirements based on new items and incoming POs. Meet all weekly and monthly department metrics to ensure inventory is managed to the highest standard.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operations management;or Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; or Experience working in a distribution environment. Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence. Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
