Job Description & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the operation of the Information, Tickets & Tours (ITT) office. Must effectively communicate with a diverse variety of commercial entities. Requests, stocks, maintains and updates recreational and travel brochures and schedules from known points of interest in order to provide the military community with information to assist in planning leave and liberty. Procures and provides patrons with tickets to various attractions of interest at best price. Plans, organizes work and manages internal resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Combines month end inventory counts, credit card purchasing/reconciling, submission of month end local Finance/Shared Services Center (SSC) paperwork, operation of RecTrac POS system, maintenance control of ticket stock, ordering and receiving of tickets in the TMS system, creation of marketing materials and the operation of a floral and gift department which includes making flower arrangements and gift baskets for resale. Prepares financial plan, budgets, inventories, cost control, and related records and reports. Reviews the financial status of the assigned activity and recommends changes considered necessary. Manages new property resources and provides advice on renovations and improvements. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud waste abuse. May operate a motor vehicle to transport passengers or equipment. May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work hours. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Three years of experience in the travel and tourism industry or related field. Knowledge of business/financial and facility management. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to deal with all classes of people. Skill to operate a personal computer. May be required to travel extensively. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to obtain and maintain TIER-1 (NACI) background checks which are required for the position. Must complete all DoD training requirements within the specified time including orientation, initial training, and annual ongoing training requirements.

$17.74 per hour
