Job Description & Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport and organize recyclables. Load and unload materials from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling. Drive motor vehicles up to 10 tons to service and empty recycling containers. Maintain accurate records of shipments, including weights and receipts. Operate recycling equipment such as can crushers, glass crushers, and balers. Utilize hand tools (grinders, metal cutters, saws, etc.) to process recyclables. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Work outdoors in various weather conditions for at least half of the work period.
Qualifications
Forklift Certification: Must be qualified and licensed per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178. Experience: Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience in a professional setting. Ability to work outdoors in all seasons. Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate logistics. Ability to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) for required access.
