Job Description & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities The Family Service Worker is a position that performs direct and indirect services to the children and families involved in the Head Start Program. This position includes performing the necessary duties required to implement the Head Start Program’s Family and Community Engagement services, Health services, Additional services for Children with Disabilities, Transition services, and services to Enrolled Pregnant Women. The Family Service Worker is also responsible for ensuring that the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) federal requirements are met at his/her local center. Duties also include, administrative, clerical and closely related support services and assisting the program’s Head Start/Early Head Start Specialists.

Qualifications

Associate degree in social services or related field and/or have within 18 months of hire, at a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field.

Salary:

$22,256 – $33,303 plus benefits (10.5 month work schedule) 40 hours per week
