Job Description & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Layup Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the activities of our assembly team in the manufacturing of interior doors. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow, maintain quality standards, and foster a positive work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members. Duties & Responsibilities: Team Coordination: Coordinate daily activities of assembly staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. Training & Development: Assist with onboarding new employees and provide ongoing training to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Quality Control: Monitor assembly processes to maintain product quality, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any issues. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the assembly workflow and collaborate with management to enhance productivity and efficiency. Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels of materials and supplies needed for assembly operations. Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all team members follow safety guidelines and participate in safety training sessions. Performance Reporting: Maintain records of staff performance and provide regular feedback to team members, highlighting areas for growth and achievement. Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between assembly staff and other departments to ensure alignment on production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in a related field preferred. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on assembly processes preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
