Distribution Coordinator - Operating Room (Business Logistics Management)

JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Director, the OR Distribution Coordinator is responsible for all shipping, receiving, internal product distribution, inventory control and purchasing of inventory, and supply storage activities within the operating room. Collaborates with plant operations/biomedical engineering to plan and implement medical equipment and fiscal plant maintenance within the department. Works collaboratively with Specialty Team Leaders and Lead Operating Room Technicians to assure correct and sufficient supplies are available for scheduled surgical procedures. Works collaboratively with vendors to identify best pricing and facilitate introduction of new technology and product trials. Serves as a resource to Physician customers related to supply procurement and distribution. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs) Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED (Required) 2 year/Associate Degree in Business or related field from accredited college or university. (Preferred) EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2 - 3 years Relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain management and inventory control. (Required) CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES No Certifications are Required or Preferred
