Job Description & Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY: The Cyber Security Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's information security initiatives. They work closely with senior security professionals to monitor and analyze security alerts, assess vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents. Responsibilities include using security tools to conduct routine monitoring of network activities, performing vulnerability assessments, and assisting in the implementation of security measures. This role provides a valuable opportunity for learning and growth in the field of cybersecurity. The Cyber Security Analyst collaborates with experienced professionals to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of organizational data. They are an essential member of the security team, contributing to the overall protection of the organization against cyber threats and helping maintain a secure computing environment.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or related field, or training and experience; 2. A minimum of Three (3) years of experience in information technology, hardware, software, or network support. A combination of previous education, training, or experience which provides for an equivalent background necessary to perform the work may be substituted; 3. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP, CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker) are a plus; 4. Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles; 5. Knowledge of networking protocols and security architectures; 6. Familiarity with security tools such as antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems; 7. Basic understanding of risk management and vulnerability assessment processes; 8. Capacity to analyze security-related events and incidents; 9. Commitment to ethical standards and respect for confidentiality; 10. Enthusiastic attitude toward learning and professional development.
