Job Description & Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Responds to low risk calls for service in the field by means of operating a city vehicle. Writes police reports stemming from citizens in the field, on the phone and /or at the police department. Directs traffic. Collects evidence. Investigate accidents. Refers city services. Maintains visibility by patrolling assigned area, city streets, parks, neighborhoods and businesses to ensure security. Assists fellow officers' in documenting case information. Respond to questions, complaints, and requests for information by telephone or in person from merchants, community/civic organizations, the general public, employees, superiors and other individuals. Take and relay messages and/or direct calls or questions to appropriate personnel. Return calls as necessary. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); additionally, one to three months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Salary:

$17.89 Hourly
