Job Description & Responsibilities:
The Child Care Assistant assists the classroom teachers in all aspects of the program helping create a total learning environment for the individual needs of each child. The assistant is also responsible for classroom, center and equipment cleanliness in order to meet nurturing and physical care responsibilities of the children.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Vocational / Technical Degree in Certificate (TCC) in a related field, preferably in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) concentration, in lieu of a Technical College Certificate (TCC) a valid, current Child Development Associate (CDA) or a valid, current Paraprofessional Certificate with 2 additional years experience (Required) EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2+ years Assisting or teaching a group of young children in a child care setting (Required) CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES Required Certifications/Licensures: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) obtained with 1 year of hire, Satisfactory Criminal Records Check determination (Cogent) Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
