Two Albany Tech Students Win at PBL State Conference

April 19, 2013- ALBANY, GA-Two Albany Tech students won awards at the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) State Conference held in Atlanta last week. Tonya Hagines and Tammy Hagines will both move on to the PBL National Competition scheduled to be held on June 24-27, 2013, in Anaheim, California.


During the state conference, four competitive events were held, two of which Albany Tech students participated in: Project Management, Statistical Analysis, Information Technology, and Management Concepts. Tonya Hagines placed third in the Statistical Analysis event and received the Who's Who in PBL Award, while Tammy Hagines placed fifth in the Information Technology event and was also selected as a nominee for the Georgia PBL Outstanding Member Award.


Emma Johnson, advisor and Sherronda Green, co-advisor for Albany Tech's local PBL chapter, and faculty also contributed $250 to the March of Dimes as part of a recent fundraiser.
