Albany, Georgia – The Albany Tech Titans will officially kick off the 2020-2021 basketball season and 14 years of basketball with the first home game on Monday, November 1, 2021, Titan Men vs. Thomas University JV at the ASU east campus gym. Lady Titans vs. New Horizon, first home game is on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the ASU West campus gym.
Homecoming activities are scheduled all week long, November 1st through 5th. Kicking off the week's events on Monday, November 1 with a Lit "U" ation kickoff event with DJ Dollar Bill in front of the bookstore, 3 Point Shootout Challenge, Titan Spirit door decor contest on the ATC campus, Cosmetology Presents Fashion & Hair Show, and "Say Cheese" Selfie Challenge.
Homecoming Week will also include a Madden Tournament Wednesday at 10 am in the Student Center,
Hot Dog & Wing Eating Contests at 11 am, and a Rapper/Rocker/Pop/Country Dress-Up at noon on the Student Center Patio.
Thursday will be the pregame tailgating event for students, faculty, and staff. There will be an on-campus parade, and attendees will get to meet the Titans officially. The crowning of Mr. and Ms. ATC will be at the Lady Titans game, which starts at 5:30 that afternoon. Ms. ATC is Niara Woodall, a student in the Cosmetology program at Albany Technical College, and Mr. ATC is Bradley Symonette, a student in the Culinary Arts program.
Homecoming week will end with "We Are One" Spirit Day on Friday, November 5th. Employees and students are encouraged to wear Titan gear and the college colors, red and black.
This season, the Titans have four returning players from last season, with four returning starters. The Lady Titans have five returning players with one returning starter.
