Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College will hold the annual Fall National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) Induction Ceremony on Thursday, October 31, 2019, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Kirkland Conference Center.

Ten Albany Tech students will be inducted this fall. In order to qualify for induction into the NTHS, students must meet the following requirements: Be enrolled at Albany Tech; have completed two consecutive semesters of course work, a minimum of 18 credit hours; hold at least a 3.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) overall; exemplify the personal qualities of an honor student (safety conscious, works well with others, dependable, trustworthy, responsible, honest, take pride in work, exhibits good citizenship, and make a neat and clean appearance), and maintain the required grade average to remain a member of the organization.

Keynote speaker for the evening will be Ernest Matthew Faulk, Pastor at Greater Union Baptist Church Camilla, Georgia. Pastor Faulk is a native of Cairo, Georgia. He earned a diploma from Cairo High School. He pursued additional studies towards a bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Morris Brown College located in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a certified police officer at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany and a full-time Pastor at Greater Union Baptist Church in Camilla.

He has experienced many challenges in life but was able to transition from that to now being a powerful preacher and speaker who inspires and pushes others to become the best version of themselves. He is a determined and vigorous individual, yet pleasantly calm speaker, who encourages fighting for what you desire and believe in and doing it through God because nothing great comes easy and with God everything is possible. Through his passion for preaching, he has embraced a fanatical interest in motivational speaking. He loves humor and learning from others.

Apart from the above, he loves fishing, golfing, and attending sports events. Ernest has made it his life’s work to help parishioners to become the best version of themselves. He has one daughter, Leah Deborah Faulk.
