Open House for all Healthcare Programs at Albany Technical College, Thursday, 4 to 7
Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College (ATC) invites those interested in healthcare to a special 3-hour event. The Healthcare Technology Building is set to host a Future Stars of Healthcare event on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm. During this open house, healthcare programs will unveil their labs and classrooms, providing an in-depth view into their courses and practices. This event offers prospective students a unique opportunity to delve deeper and explore programs that pique their interest.
Eleven distinguished programs, with their respective instructors and selected students, will be on display: Dental Assisting, Healthcare Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Nurse Aide, Nursing, EMT/Paramedicine, Pharmacy Technology, Phlebotomy, Practical Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and Surgical Technology.
"Our goal with this event is to offer the community a comprehensive insight into the spectrum of healthcare programs at ATC," remarked Lisa Stephens, Associate VP of Academic Affairs, Business/Healthcare Technology. "Attendees will have the chance to roam through program classrooms and labs, engage in interactive demonstrations, talk with program faculty, and interact with the admissions, financial aid, and numerous other support services available on campus."
Community sponsor partners, including Flowers Hospital, Hospital Authority of Miller County, Oakland Pharmacy, and Phoebe Putney Health System, will be present at the event. They will provide insights into career opportunities tailored to each of Albany Technical College’s healthcare programs. The Future Stars of Healthcare open house is not just an educational event but also a confluence of promising career avenues.
The first 150 visitors will receive exclusive swag bags, complemented by light refreshments and entertaining activities.
Student services teams will be available to guide attendees on Financial Aid, Admissions, and various grants. Enrollments are ongoing for spring 2024, with classes starting on Monday, January 8, 2023.
