August 8, 2014- Albany, GA- Albany Technical College has named the 2014 Employee of the Year. Mitchell "Mitch" Scott, grounds maintenance keeper in the Campus Operations department at Albany Tech, was named the 2014 Albany Tech Employee of the Year at a recent faculty/staff luncheon.
Scott has been a consistent face of the facilities and maintenance crew of Albany Tech since the summer of 2000. Although he is listed as the grounds maintenance keeper, he does much more for the campus than simply maintaining the grounds. Being known as one of the hardest working individuals on the campus, Scott can be counted on to do much more than maintain grounds.
Without being prompted to do so, Scott is always the first among his peers to roll up his sleeves and pitch in for jobs outside of campus operations. He's a self-starter who is willing to help out wherever he is needed on campus.
