Albany Tech Signs Two Albany Natives

April 22, 2009 - The Albany Tech Titans continue to reload following the first winning-season in program history. The Titans, who are looking to replace ten players from last winter's 20-win squad, signed a pair of Albany natives to scholarships on Tuesday afternoon.

Monroe's Terrence Wethers and former Albany standout Brian Barzier signed with ATC on Tuesday. Coach Sylvester Patterson says he was looking for guards to fill some holes in his roster and thinks Wethers and Barzier will do the job well. Patterson also says it has been a lot easier to recruit players to Albany Tech since this past season's success.

"We had about 75 people show up for a try-out and we've been getting letters and calls from Canada and Europe and all over the country, so it's had a big impact," Patterson said.
