Albany Tech Health Care Division Holds Spring Capping and Pinning

April 23, 2013- ALBANY, GA- Albany Technical College will hold a Capping and Pinning Ceremony for spring semester on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 12Noon, in the Kirkland Conference Center. Health Care Technology programs participating in the ceremony will include Practical Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and Pharmacy Technology.


Guest speaker for the ceremony will be Ken Miller, Ph.D., M.Div. A national speaker in the areas of inspiration, motivation, personal growth (life coaching), pre- and post-marriage relationships, organizational culture, management, change, and leadership, Miller is a native of Natchez, Mississippi and currently serves as the Command Chaplain aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany.


Commissioned in the U.S. Navy in May 2001 and August of the same year, Miller graduated Naval Chaplain School, Newport, Rhode Island, where he received the "Readiness for Ministry Award," which was awarded for the first time in Chaplain School history.


Miller began his public speaking career upon entering the Gospel ministry in January of 1993. He holds a bachelor's degree in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Church Administration and Leadership from Morehouse School of Religion, Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, and a Ph.D. in Management of Non-Profit Agencies from Capella University.


Highly sought after by many state and local agencies, as well as for-profit and non-profit entities, Miller provides visioning, leadership, and capacity-building strategies for marked success.
