Dr. Anthony Parker's letter to all Albany Technical College Students.
Dear ATC Students:
We hope that you and your family are doing well. We consider your education very important and know that it is vital to maintain a consistent forward momentum as we deal with the outbreak.
You may be aware that most of the instruction has transitioned to the online format during the week of March 16-20, 2020. Your instructor will contact you via email and/or telephone to provide specific instructions on coursework and attendance requirements for this week.
We understand that specific coursework will be unable to transition to the online format fully. If coursework cannot be offered in an online form and you need access to the lab and/or classroom area for instructional purposes, please contact your instructor to schedule a date and time.
Our objective is to deliver instruction remotely and limit the amount of foot traffic on campus as much as possible. Several steps have been taken to facilitate the process. The ATC Library and Help Desk labs will be open until 5 pm each day this week for students to have computer and internet access. Also, students will have opportunities for tutorial services through Tutor.com. In addition, other admissions requirements can be accessed online through the ATC web site (www.albanytech.edu) or the financial aid site (www. fafsa.ed.gov). These items include college application, tuition, fee payment, and FASFA application.
The pandemic is an unusual situation, a truly challenging and ever-evolving public health crisis. We know that working together, we can all get through these difficult and trying times. Please remember to follow all official recommendations on best practices to combat COVID-19.
Sincerely,
Dr. Anthony O. Parker
President, Albany Technical College
