Vinson Davis to speak during local TEAAMS Session at Albany Technical College
Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College is proud to announce the upcoming TEAAMS Monthly Empowerment Session on February 15, 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the Logistics Education Center. Vinson Davis, Associate Superintendent for District Effectiveness at Dougherty County School System, will speak at the event. This session is part of the college's Teaching, Empowering African American Males to Succeed (TEAAMS) initiative. It is designed to provide African American males with fundamental skills to help them succeed and persist through internal and external challenges.
Each month, the TEAAMS project hosts a Monthly Empowerment Session; ATC Faculty and Community Leaders are invited to speak to the students. "The leaders in this community are top-notch. The support for the TEAAMS Program continues to inspire me," remarked Quanta Bell, the TEAAMS Project Director.
About the Speaker
Vinson R. Davis has dedicated the past 27 years to educating students in Dougherty County. He has served in several capacities in K-12 education, including substitute teacher, paraprofessional, classroom teacher, head middle school athletics coach, assistant principal, and principal. Currently, he serves as the Associate Superintendent for District Effectiveness in the Dougherty County School System, where he works alongside the district's Federal Programs staff and the leadership of both School Improvement and Family and Community Engagement.
