**DeMarcus Blunt, Truett O’Neal and Marcus Jackson
March 12, 2009 – Three members of the Albany Technical College Titans basketball team were chosen to play in the 2nd Annual Florida vs. Georgia All-Star Showcase in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday, March 14, 2009. DeMarcus Blunt, Truett O’Neal and Marcus Jackson will represent the Titans on the twelve member team comprised of players from the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association (GJCAA).
The Florida vs. Georgia All-Star Showcase is sponsored by FasttrackScouting.com and The Florida Association of Basketball in conjunction with the National Junior College Athletic Association Region VIII and Region 17.
Truett O’Neal ended the regular season ranked 7th in scoring and 3rd in rebounding in the GJCAA, scoring 418 points and making 253 rebounds. DeMarcus Blunt ranked 22nd in scoring and 12th in rebounds. Jackson came in at 29th in scoring and 13th in rebounding in the GJCAA.
O’Neal also earned one of five spots on the GJCAA’s All-Tournament Team. Blunt was named First Team All-Conference.
The Titans boasted an impressive 20-12 record in just their second season of collegiate play. Their conference record was 7-7. Albany Tech is adding a Lady Titans basketball team for the 2009-2010 season, with try-outs taking place later this spring.
