Three Albany Tech Students are One Step Closer to Seeing their Habitat Home Plans Realized

Posted on

January 22, 2010 —Using guidelines and standards of residential housing provided by Flint River Habitat for Humanity, Albany Technical College architectural drafting students designed plans for three, four and five bedroom homes.

Thursday night, the three winning plans were announced. The designs were drafted by Edrian Mallory, Aaron Morris and Raychel Price. Plans are to use the three designs in upcoming Flint River Habitat for Humanity construction projects.

When home plans become reality, other Albany Tech students enrolled in the College’s Carlton Construction Academy programs will get real work experience. They’ll actually help build the homes for families who could not afford them without the help of an organization like Habitat.
