May 27, 2014- Albany, GA from WALB- Summer can also be a dangerous time for teenage drivers. The end of the school year begins the 100 deadliest days for teen drivers according to AAA.

More than 250 teens die in the summer months due to traffic accidents. Limiting the amount of passengers and driving only during daylight hours are just two of the recommended safety tips for teen drivers. Albany Technical College has a driver's education program designed to help students become safe and better drivers.

"We emphasize the fact that seat belt is a law and you must where the seat belts all the time. The number of students that could ride with you, we enforce that. On top of that we talk about the amount of alcohol they can't have which is zero tolerance. Anything over 2 percent you can lose your license," David Miller, Driver's Education Instructor at Albany Tech.

Albany Tech Driver Education Program is currently accepting applications.
