April 6, 2011 - Last week, Tocarro Patrice Davis, Student Services Coordinator for Albany Tech’s Randolph County Learning Center, was inducted into the Cuthbert Rotary Club at a monthly luncheon.
A native of Jones County, Georgia, Davis joined the Albany Tech family in October of 2009. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Albany State University and is slated to graduate with her master’s in organizational leadership from LaGrange College in May.
A member of Prevent Child Abuse Randolph, Davis also serves as a national membership expansion officer for Annointed Students in Unity Fellowship Sorority and Fraternity. She is also a youth leader for The Pointe United Methodist Church. She is married to Garren Daniel Davis.
“Servant Leadership is what I do,” said Davis. “A Servant Leader is who I am.”
The Cuthbert Rotary Club was formed in 1927 and has been an active club ever since. This year (2010-2011) was the first year the Cuthbert Rotary members elected a woman, Debi McDade, as its president.
Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide educational and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
