Albany Technical College Healthcare Technology to Hold Spring Capping & Pinning Thursday

ALBANY, GA – Albany Technical College’s Healthcare Technology division will hold the spring 2019 Capping and Pinning ceremony on Thursday, April 18, 2019, beginning at 6 pm, in the Kirkland Conference Center. Almost 40 students will be recognized in the following programs: Practical Nursing, Pharmacy Technology and Paramedicine.

Keynote speaker will be Lisa Stephens, MBA, R.T., (R)(CT)(MR) Radiologic Technology Program Chair Albany Technical College.

Lisa Stephens is the Program Chair of the Radiologic Technology Program at Albany Technical College. She is no stranger to Southwest Georgia. Graduating from Terrell County High School (Dawson, Ga.) in 2002, she went on to earn an associate degree in Radiologic Technology from Central Georgia Technical College, where she also completed an additional associate degree in Advanced Medical Imaging. She continued her education at Emory University’s School of Medicine earning a Bachelor of Medical Science in Medical Imaging and has recently earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Mercer University.


Stephens previously served as the Clinical Coordinator of the Radiologic Technology Program at Central Georgia Technical College, an MRI Technologist for Radiology Associates of Macon, CT Technologist and Radiologic Technologist for the Medical Center/Navicent Health of Central Georgia; MRI Technologist for Coliseum Medical Centers, Macon, (Ga) . She is credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography, Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
