Community Resource Drive Will Be Held Saturday

Posted on

Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College has partnered with Sherwood Baptist Church to host a Community Resource Event.  Free clothing, water, and other donated items will be distributed. Employees from Albany Tech’s Programs will also be on hand accepting applications and student referrals.

After Hurricane Michael’s devastation in Albany and Southwest Georgia, October 10, 2018, the community has worked hard to get back to some sort of normalcy and move forward. The storm left 90% of Albany Utilities Authorities’ customers without power and the impact to the local community was overwhelming. The efforts of our leadership, churches, businesses and organizations has been heartfelt and obvious.

This Community Resource Drive, spearheaded by Sherwood Baptist Church, is a generous endeavor to make a difference in the local area. Please support the drive.

  • Location: The Hope Center (former Coke Plant), 925 Pine Avenue
  • Date: March 23, 2019
  • Time: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
