ATC Holds Annual Education Partnership Day

February 20, 2014- Albany, GA- Albany Technical College will hold its annual Education Partnership Day on Friday, February 21, 2014, from 8am to 2:30pm, in the Kirkland Conference Center.

The purpose of this event is to provide information to high school counselors, technical education directors, graduation coaches, and other high school officials in an effort to encourage high school students to consider technical education. Information about dual and joint enrollment opportunities for high school students will also be provided.

Centered around the theme "Strengthening Communities for Real World Opportunities," the day will include several internal and external speakers. The session will open with a presentation by Vincent Davis, Principal of Monroe Comprehensive High School and recipient of the 2013 Principal of the Year, Steve Harvey Neighborhood Award.

The group will be able to tour the campus and labs prior to lunch. Following lunch, Dr. Anthony O. Parker, President of Albany Tech, and a group of staff members will present, including sharing two student experiences at Albany Tech by Max Carrera and Jeanetta Miles. The day will end with a presentation on "Teamwork: How it all comes together," where presenters will discuss the application process, registration, financial aid and support links that exist at Albany Tech.
