October 21, 2014- Albany, GA from WALB- Albany Tech students raise their hands to show they want to stop domestic violence in the community and support the victims.

The Albany Tech Criminal Justice Club held their Hands Against Domestic Violence session in the college's student center. Students were invited to leave their hand print on posters displayed in the civic center, signing their name that they want to stop domestic violence.

The students were also asked to donate to the Liberty House, an Albany domestic violence shelter for women to escape dangerous situations at home.

"They offer support for the family and kids. So whenever you go out to the Liberty House, you are going to have your food, water, shelter and some clothing," Mark Garland of the ATC Criminal Justice Club.

The club hoped to raise more than $100 for the Liberty House Tuesday, in support of Domestic Violence Awareness month.
