Albany Tech’s 50th Celebration Continues with Homecoming Week

January 28, 2011 - As Albany Tech continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Homecoming Week is scheduled to start on Monday, January 31, at 10am. The week’s activities begin with a Pep Rally in front of the campus bookstore. Students will be invited to warm up with hot chocolate, coffee and doughnuts as the players and cheerleaders pump up the spirit in preparation for the Homecoming Game on Thursday, February 3rd.

In addition to the Pep Rally on Monday, students will have a chance to meet the candidates for Mr. and Ms. Albany Tech. The celebration continues on Tuesday with speeches by Mr. and Ms. Albany Tech candidates, a talent show, and a “Money Talks” session for students to understand the new financial aid debit cards. On Wednesday, a celebrity/twin day dress up is planned for faculty, staff and students, along with a game day, and voting time for Mr. and Ms. Albany Tech.

The week will wrap up on Thursday, February 3rd, with the Homecoming Game at ASU’s HPER Gym against Chattahoochee Tech. The Lady Titans will hit the court at 5:30pm and the men’s team at 7:30pm.
