Albany Technical College to Hold Spring Honors Day Program Tuesday

May 2, 2011- On Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., Albany Technical College will host the Spring Honors Day Program in the Kirkland Conference Center.


Fall and winter graduates will be recognized in the following areas: President’s List, Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL), National Technical Honors Society, Foundation Setters for Future Minds, ATC Chorus, Competitive Collegiate DECA, SkillsUSA, Student Ambassadors, Student Government Association, highest test scores for the GED, and many others.


The guest speaker for the program will be Ms. Jerona Edmonds, Paraprofessional with the Mitchell County Board of Education. Edmonds received her associate degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from Albany Technical College in 2006. She is a 2010 graduate of Albany State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. In the top 15 percent of her graduating class at Albany State University, Edmonds has served as a secretary for the Albany Tech Alumni Association and is a member of Sigma Alpha Pi Society of Leadership and Success and Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society where she served as historian.
