September 9, 2009 – Albany Technical College has named a new Director of Public Relations & Information for the College. Miloy Schwartz will join the PR staff on Monday, September 14.
Schwartz comes to Albany Tech from Langstaff Marketing where she served as a Communications and Marketing Consultant. While at Langstaff, Schwartz led public relations, social media and strategic marketing efforts for a variety of local, regional and international accounts. Prior to her employment with Langstaff Marketing, Schwartz worked as a Public Relations Senior Account Executive with Jackson Spalding PR firm in Atlanta.
Schwartz is no stranger to the news business. In years past, she worked as a producer at WALB in Albany and an associate producer at WMAZ-TV in Macon. While at WALB, she was a member of the team awarded Best Newscast by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters. In addition, while at WMAZ, she was commended by outside consultants for excellence in both news production and promotion.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
