November 17, 2016 - Albany, GA - Albany Technical College recently ranked in two top lists for Community College Week, ranking #29 in One-Year Certificates (diplomas) and #47 in Two-Year Certificates (diplomas and degrees) in the United States.
In the August 31, 2016 edition, Community College Week listed Albany Tech in the Top 100 for One- and Two- Year Certificates. Albany Tech’s latest data reports for Academic Year 2016 reflects a total of 739 diplomas and 268 associate degrees conferred. The report also showed 1,530 technical certificate of credit (TCC) graduates.
For placement rates, Albany Tech is topping the charts with a 97.5 percent in-field job placement rate and a 99.7 percent total placement rate.
“Albany Tech continues to be a leader in graduates in our region and in our system and we are proud of our accomplishments and our graduates,” said Dr. Anthony O. Parker, President of Albany Tech.
Albany Tech has topped Community College Week charts in years past with being named in the Top 100 listings in the United States for one- and two-year certificates. The college has also been a runner-up twice for the Governor of Georgia’s Technical College of the Year Award, as well as online rankings and other top listings in higher education.
