Albany Technical College holds Titans Sophomore Night on February 24th

Albany, Georgia – Albany Technical College will hold its annual Sophomore Night during the regularly scheduled basketball games on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Albany State University HPER Gym. The event will honor several sophomore basketball players from the 2017-2018 season. The Lady Titans will kick off the evening’s games at 5:30 p.m., while the men’s team will play at 7:30 p.m. Both teams will go up against the South Georgia Tech Jets.

Two Titan players on the men’s team will be recognized, including Tim White and La’Quay Marshall. Both have played for the Albany Tech Titans for two years. White came to Albany Tech from Westover High School in Albany and has played as a forward for the team.

Lady Titans to be recognized include Don’Niya Brooks, Cekeya Mack, Jayda Holder, Fredeja Ransom, Markescia Reynolds, Precious Daniels, and Ke’Yanna Wells. A native of Tampa, Florida, Brooks began playing for the Titans as a Guard. Mack came to ATC from Monroe High School playing as a Forward and Center and has been recognized in the current season in the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association’s (GJCAA) as “Player of the Week.”

Holder joined the Titans from Rex, Georgia, after graduating from Mt. Zion High School and has been a Guard and Forward. Ransom came to ATC from Morrow, Georgia as a Guard. Reynolds has played as a Forward from Thomas County Central High School in Pavo, Georgia, while Daniels came to ATC as a Forward from Pike County High School in Meansville, Georgia. Wells played as a Forward from Calhoun High School in Edison, Georgia.

An annual Titans Athletics Banquet is scheduled to be held in April to recognize all players on both the men and women’s team.
