June 3, 2016 - Albany, GA - Albany Technical College (ATC) will host their annual Open House event Saturday, June 4, 2016, from 9am to 1pm in the Kirkland Conference Center. For those ready to apply, register, and test, representatives will be available in the Logistics Education Center next door to Kirkland during the event.
This is an annual event held at ATC every June since the late 1990s where potential students can come and preview more than 90 academic programs available at the campus, including nursing, surgical technology, civil engineering technology and many others. Some of the programs featured Saturday will even have live demonstrations.
Most of the programs at Albany Tech have a hybrid option and can be completed partially online, while more than 30 programs are offered 100 percent online.
Academic advisors for each program will be available to speak with potential students, as well as students currently enrolled in the program. Admissions and Financial Aid representatives will be available to assist those who wish to register and learn how to apply for financial aid. Testing representatives will also be available to help potential students schedule the entrance test. There will also be a Town Hall meeting held at 9:30am and 11:30am for high school students and their parents to learn about Albany Tech’s Move On When Ready dual enrollment program.
There will be snacks, a live remote by WJIZ 96.3FM with DJ Dwayne, games for the kids, and free giveaways. For those who complete an application during the event, the application fee will be waived.
