Albany Technical College Career Development Center Staff Completes NCDA Career Development Facilitator Training

June 22, 2012- ALBANY, GA- Albany Technical College Career Development Center staff recently completed the National Career Development Association's (NCDA) Career Development Facilitator training.


Judy Jimmerson, Albany Tech's Career Development Center Director, Sandra Sutton and Julie Pettway, Career Development Center assistants are now members of a select group of career professionals who have qualified to become a Global Career Development Facilitator.


Career Development Facilitator training assists working career professionals by strengthening knowledge of career assessment, facilitating skills, and job search techniques. The training encompasses rigorous study, performance, and fieldwork requirements.


"Career Facilitator Development training prepares career development professionals for 21st century career planning," said Judy Jimmerson, Director of Career Services at Albany Technical College.


"With this training, our Career Services staff is equipped with resources and training needed to enhance the process of career planning and career development for students at ATC. Our goal is to help students plan and then carry out those plans to improve their career opportunities and life satisfaction," Jimmerson added.


The National Career Development Association (NCDA) is the premiere professional organization in career management. NCDA inspires and empowers the achievement of career and life goals by providing professional development, resources, standards, scientific research, and advocacy.
